Many of us have either experienced adolescent insecurities or know someone who has. Do you ever remember feeling different from your peers? Wishing you looked more like them or dressed like them? Ever remember a classmate always alone, never seeming to fit in or able to make friends? There are children right now experiencing those exact same feelings. Some internalize those emotions while others act out, cry or shy away from their peers. Some individuals have the courage to outgrow such conditionings, but those who have not may be emotionally and socially bound by their insecurities even into adulthood.
Our differences are what makes us who we are. It sets us apart which is what each of us should embrace and be proud of. This story is formulated to speak to children on their level, showing them that no matter the differences; they are unique and beautiful and no one is a better you than YOU!
